Summary Document

This text is only informative. The full version of the AIS Business Terms, to which you commit when using the service, is legally binding. Download the full document below.

Welcome to the BudgetBakers Account Information Service (AIS). The following text serves as an abridged overview of the key points of our AIS Terms, which govern the use of our bank account connection service. By using the AIS, you agree to these rules.

What Is the AIS Service

The Account Information Service (AIS) establishes a secure, read-only connection to your bank account through standardized interfaces. It retrieves your account details, current balances, and payment transaction history. The service is exclusively read-only — it cannot initiate payments, modify your bank products, or change any data at your bank.

How It Works

When you connect a bank account, you are redirected to your bank's secure authentication environment. There you log in and explicitly confirm that BudgetBakers may access your account data. We never see or store your banking credentials — authentication happens entirely at your bank.

What Data Is Retrieved

Depending on your bank's capabilities, the service may retrieve:

  • Account details — Account number, type, currency, holder information
  • Balances — Current balance as reported by your bank
  • Transaction history — Posted and pending transactions, including amounts, dates, descriptions, and counterparties

The depth of history and scope of data depends on what your bank's API makes available. The service synchronizes at least once daily in continuous access mode.

Consent & Access Modes

Your data is retrieved only with your explicit consent, given directly at your bank. Two modes are available:

  • One-time access — Data is retrieved once (e.g., for income verification)
  • Continuous access — Data is updated regularly; consent is valid for 90–180 days, after which you will be prompted to re-authorize

You can withdraw consent at any time through your internet banking settings, the app interface, or by contacting support@budgetbakers.com.

Data Processing & Privacy

Retrieved data may be technically processed (normalization, deduplication, automatic categorization) to display it meaningfully. We do not manually analyze your data or use it for automated decision-making. All data processing complies with our Privacy Policy and GDPR requirements.

Your Responsibilities

By using the service, you confirm that you are the legal owner of the connected account (or have full disposal rights) and that you are at least 18 years old. Connecting accounts of third parties is strictly forbidden. You are responsible for securing your device, internet connection, and login credentials.

Liability & Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties. BudgetBakers is not responsible for delays, errors, or unavailability on the part of your bank. The Provider's total aggregate liability is capped at €50. The service is an informational tool only — we do not provide any financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Regulatory Oversight & Contact

BudgetBakers is a licensed Account Information Service Provider within the EEA, supervised by the Czech National Bank. We use verified technical service providers (e.g., Salt Edge) to connect with banks. Consumer users have the right to contact the Financial Arbitrator of the Czech Republic.
